I am considering the purchase of various used engines. What should the compression be for B5 2.8?

One engine was 155 compression and 50 oil. Not sure if he gave me all of the information.

Anyone know where to buy a good engine for a 1996 Audi A4 2.8, early vin before 129646?

 

First, whats wrong with yours? Rebuilds are possible

 

Its very easy to re-build a 2.8L engine, however they usually don't blow up unless you did something stupid like run it with no oil in it......
shop around and ask for quotes on rebuilding it.
