Hey guys,
I just replaced my timing belt and what not, including my water pump. ever since there has been a really loud grinding noise comming from my engine. it usually lasts until my car is warmed up. at first its really loud and then quiets down a little bit. when i turn my steering wheel, moving or standing still, it gets louder. i used a long screwdriver to listen to the different parts of my engine and it seems that my water pump is the loudest. can anybody verify that for me before i rip my front bumper off again? BTW i have a '96 A4. Thanks

 

if it gets louder then your turn your wheel i would say its your power stearling pump, might want to check the fluid level..
