hi all,
can someone tell me the difference between an Audi A4 B5 and a B6? wats does the B5/6 part mean and wat is the best?

b5 is year 1996-2001.5 and b6 is 2002-when ever they made the b7. the body is different and some engine stuff is different. if you google b5 and b6 you will see the difference. as for whats better its up to you but i say b5 ftw

B5 were built from 1996 - 2001.5. The B6 was built from 2002 - 2005.5. The B5s are more popular with the tuner crowd. Both cars are nice cars. The B6 is a little more refined (read heavier as well.) I like them both, but am a little more partial to the B6.

2005 was actually the last year of the B6, the 2005.5 was the first B7's
