Since I got my new clutch installed I have little problem with my second gear.

I did not have this issue with my old clutch. (New clutch is SS OFE Stage 4 and about 700miles on it)

It does not wanna go into sometimes. I have to leave the clutch and push it again to put in second gear.

Is there something I can pull my clutch pedal little higher ?

Any suggestions ?

I want to get this problem fixed by sunday so I can have some better times 1/4 mile.

I have the same issue with 1st more...but also 2nd
i'm having a tough time putting it in first and second...the other speeds are smooth
i never asked the question, but since you did...I SECOND THAT

 

I have the same problem with second, I havent seem to be able to solve.

 

Syncro,I did it to my A4 to, 2.8trans solved it.

a tranny syncro?? its what your gears settle in.. if im not mistaken. *vital*

 

wow.. so he wants me to take my transmission a part? well... it is something I cannot do and if I ask someone to do it, they'll charge me furtune for sure...

damn...

 

I have the same problem.. it is the syncro but it's not exactly a "simple" job to replace those.

 

Hano has the same problem, accept it got a lot worse, had to start in 3rd gear sometimes. So he's getting a new tranny and RS4 clutch. Was going to cost him over 7 grand, but a friend of his can get it done for 2200. If you live in the chicago/milwaukee area, I could try to give you some more contact info. This guy gets great deals on parts, about 1/4 of what you would normally pay.

 

o fvcking **** i have the same problem. it only happens when i push the car hard, it pisses me off. so whats the next step? replace teh syncro or the entire tranny?
