I was on my way to work today and I blew my front tire on the Highway, Sidewall damage
tire cant be repaired,
I was wandering I have 17 on my 1999 A4 2.8 Q
can I drive it for the next 2 days till I get back to work ?
This wont affect my Quattro System having differnet size tires ?
Spare wheel is 15" 80kms max speed rating
I have a Soccer game tommorow 100 kms away
Can I make it, ??????

 

If you dont have a full sized spare, dont go over the 80kmh... try and swing by a used tire shop, and grab ANYTHING that is the right size... get it thrown on there for prolly 50-70 bucks or so, and deal with it later.

 

if ther tread ware is more than 20% or a different tread pattern wou will need to replace them all. B/c its AWD the tires need to be close otherwise it puts strain on ur tranny. So that would be ur call if u want to take the risk. Dont drive 100 KMs on the spare it may not last that far. Do what headshok said buy a used tire and go then when u egt back deal with it then. It wont hurt ur tanny over night. Also FYI; the firestone Fuzion ZRi have a lifetime warranty for flats caused by anything, if in the side wall they will even replace the tire for free at any firestone store. That why i bought those after i had a blow out a couple months ago.

I was going to wait till Tuesday whn I go back to work
I work at a Firestone dealer so I might get all 4
but for now Im going to ride my donut, I just heard stories
bad stories about the Quattro system with different size tires

Quattros should come with full size matching spares. as mentioned, driving with different tire sizes will ruin your differentials.

Im going to put my winters back on tomorow morning after work
thn most prob get my summers changed to Firehawks on Tuesdays,
I kinda thought so, it would ruin my diffs, wat threw me off was the spare wheel size
