Default weight reduction

has anyone tried anything as far as weight reduction on these tanks taht we drive.
we could get so much more out of our cars if we could get rid of some of this
needless weight. the luxery is nice but the lightweight feeling and handling and
power to weight ratio is nicer.

The interior is so damn nice, I wouldn't think of gutting it unless some serious track time was involved. Most of the extra fat is from the Quattro system. I think the best way to improve the power to weight ratio would be to increase the power instead of decreasing the weight. No matter what you do its still gonna be a porker.
Just out of curiosity. Whats the weight difference between the stock and a carbon fiber hood? How would you move the battery to the rear like in the RS4? I'm guessing its not difficult. How do you calculate power to weight ratio?

yeah thats what im talking about is gutting it. like all that luxery stuff. out. seats out. back seats. out.
ac. out. power steering. out. carpet. out. sound deadening. out. then roll cage it. lightening the body
carbon fiber whatever. hook up the suspension. reinforce the pinch welds.

thats what im talking about.
