Well, it's my first and I wish I could write something good about my car. I am sorry that it is not the case.
My car is 07, b7 a4 2.0 TQ and it has about 2400 miles on it and here is the problem.
In 5th or 6th gear, when RPM is in 2000~2200, there is this noise that the spring is being squeezed or shaken, sounds kinda like "zeeeing". Under hard acceleration or in low gears, there seem tobe no noise. Also when I put the geat into neutral and step on the gas, there is no noise as well.
I can find the same noise when Ipunch on theleft corner ofdashboard near thewhere theair comes out(the onefordefrost).
I mean I can guess that it's caused by cold weather - I just moved to WA and when I was in CA, there was no noise whatsoever.

Does anyone have similar noise problem?I want to hear how you guys solve the problem..hope to hear from you guys soon.

 

So its when your in low RPM's?

 

right only when rpm is in 2000~2200
Also when u tap the dashboard, same noise can be heard

 

My 2007 A4 2.0TQM I just bought (1,600 miles) has so many rattles I want to shoot myself when I drive it. I've taken it into the dealer and they "can't replicate the issues" so no fix yet. I have other issues with mine that are being addressed (like a drift to the right) so we'll see.

Take it too the dealer, that is what a warranty is for!

 

yeah i think i should,
def. there are more noise as it gets colder.

 

Just get a intake, chip and exhaust then your turbo will be so loud you wont hear anything!

yeah.. take it to stealership....I mean dealership....(was thinking too loud [8D])
