my a4 and my bf's runs fine

since ur changin ur water pump anyways, u'd be dumb to not change the timing belt as well. saves u on labor and plus those are expected to need changed in EVERY car neways.

Wow thats news to me cuz 9 times out of ten we inspect the pump's seal not the pump it's self. The seal will go but I have yet to see a mechanical pump go on a B5 or B6. We do timing belts almost every day w/o the water pump unless the seal is showing sighns of leaking.

Maybe you could explain yourself more on why they are 'expected to need changed in EVERY car neways'?????????

Did I miss something cuz I dont see WTF karma has to do with this?

Um What the **** are you talking about? No i wasnt suprised ive been around audi's since 97 seeing how ive owned 4 since then i know what labor/parts and how it goes with them. I was little pissed at the fact that my car is perfectly maintained and it still happened anyway.

beermod im talking about the timing belt......not the pump
if ur pump is bad chances are u've ran ur car for a long time and normal wear and tear will cause ur timing belt to go bad. am i wrong in thinking that?

lol i wouldnt let all this scare you away from audi as a brand, as long as you take very good care of your car things like this dont usually happen, once in a while they do but all cars do that
