Went to the strip tonight!

I launched at ~3,300 rpms, then was slipping through first until ~5,000rpms, then the first ~1,000rpms in second. I hit the rev limiter probably .5 seconds before the end of the run, so I just held it there instead of going up to 4th.
Now to install my Southbend Stage 3 clutch and see what I can do with the 150bhp of fury.... lol.
[ps, the car is stock except for a dieselgeek short shifter, STaSIS coilovers, purems snub, and I took out the passenger seat, rear seats, spare tire, reciever, and cd changer.]
Thanks for the kind words
Yeah I really can't wait to chip it now, even with just a higher rev limiter I'll bet I can trap high 80s/low 90s, with the extra power I should be good.
I neeeeeeeed to install my clutch so I can get a good launch. Maybe I'll tackle that over thanksgiving break... hmm...
edit-
The car I beat was a mid 90's Mercury Marauder driven by some 60+ year old man. he did 17.69 @ 79mph that run.

And no matter the state of tune of your car, every pass you make is experience. I'd bet if you made 5 passes a weekend for three months, you'd find a pretty decent improvement in your results, even without doing anything to the car over that time period.
