I went with a chip first (Upsolute Chip) and a Turbosmart DV/BOV and it runs great.
Next would be an air filter (K&N) and exhaust someday.
Upsolute chips are slightly less expensive, but they are also highly recommended along with others such as APR, GIAC, Tap, Etc...
