I am looking at 2001 1.8t quattro 5 speed right now. I was wondering if there is a particular year of these cars that is better then others and which years have problems and recalls. I am trying to get a reliable car since I have a 97 GSX right now which is nothing but trouble. If I get an a4 I will be getting the APR stage III+ if i cant find something better.

get a 99.5 its your best bet for mods and looks

 

ooooor you could buy my 2001 and not have to worry about moding it because it will already beat apr

 

99.5 has the same interior and exterior as the 2001, but it is drive by cable so they easier to tune
