What chip to buy for a 2004 A4 1.8t
I got APR, works for me, but I've also never drove a car with Revo software. I'm sure either one is fine they're very similar. I like APRs switch chip tecnology so you can change programs by the cruise control button.
I guess I'd be biased...... but REVO is cool, too. First find a tuner nearest you. Next, see if you like them and wouldn't mind them working on your car (some euro-tuners don't see as much audi action as they do VW). Then, find out what software dealer they are. Then, finally, get that software.
If there are no tuners near you, or none you'd deal with, and you'll have to mailorder everything and DIY, then I'd say APR REVO and GIAC are all good, depending on what your future plans are and how far you want to go once you catch the mod bug.

I'm thinking about getting chipped, but just curious as to how much work the dealer would have to do to find out that you're chipped? Wouldn't dealers already know by now to check for an upgraded chip if they're working on a car, especially if it's still under factory warranty or CPO?
