This is a msg to all your AUDI experts!!!
I am wondering, what type of Castro engine oil they put in my B7 2.0 engine? it is synthic or blend? Is it 5w30 or 15w40...
I'm reaching to my 10,000 miles, and by the book, I don't need the go back to the dealership and change the oil until 15,000 miles.
I know you guys would probably ask me to go change it anyways, its better for my engine, however, my father also owns an AUDI A8 for 10 years, he ask me toinquire from the dearership about what they put in? And all I have to do is to add another half a borttle of engine oil to it, for the next 2,500 miles.

And I havecontact the dealership, and as I expected, they wants me to go back to dealership anyways without a straight forward answer, so I guess you guys is all I got, so your help will be appreciated by me and my AUDI.

my guess is fully synthetic but what grade idk

 

Thats my guess too, however, if I put in the different grade, will it harm my engine?

Castrol Syntec 5w40, and if you don't follow VW / Audi oil guidelines they can void you wor on engine. I believe the standard is VW 502.00 for that engine.
