I was already going to get an FMIC, but okay. Let's subtract that from the price.

$1200 left.

Also, I'm not sure what kind of turbo I want, but I know I'm not going to do a level10 upgrade to my transmission (to save myself $1,000) so I want to maybe do a PC-16 K04 profile? Or an elim. series setup which won't exceed what the stock tiptronic can handle.

Dont forget if your doing the fmic, you might want to make sure its not some cheap crap that wont work well with the volume of air a bt setup will put out.

i say engine over looks because what are all the looks good for if you cant back it up? but that is just me

I would spend the money for a good Garrett core if your going BT. If your getting a K04 then an ebay fmic will suffice.

Oh come on Brian, you know I have Quattro.

Also, I haven't quite decided if I want a K04 with an aggressive setup, because that means I need to pay for a GIAC flash; and then my APR flash will have gone to waste.

I was thinking, down the road, when I get a new car, this can be my project car, so I can throw in a manual (free of labor, my friend will help me do it -- and he's done four of these) and then get a massive-turbo setup. I'm not sure yet though.

I thought Cincy said somewhere that you can't just throw a 5sp in place of a tip, bc the crankshafts were different.

lol just had to make sure cause the fwd trannies suck. if you got a k04 or gtrs you wouldn't have to worry about upgrading the tranny. you almost have enough for the gtrs too. or you could get a small t3t4 setup.

if you want more power save up until you have enough for the setup you want, then spend the money. if you happy with the power you got for now and want to wait till you buy a manual. throw some coilovers, rear sway bar, fmic, and exhaust on it for now.

and yeah the crankshafts are different for manual and auto

Haha why is everyone on about the suspension right now?!

Brian, I'm more than likely going to do an aggressive K04 setup, because I don't want to risk having to rebuild my tranny.

FMIC, exhaust, spaced TB, turbo inlet hose, W/M injection, K04, suspension, sway bar. That's my plan of action.

It's just personal preference, but I like to get small things out of the way before I do big upgrades, that way the power is REALLY felt when I drop in the things that'll give me the bigger gains.
