So i have about 1200 bucks from xmas plus a few other goodies, and im lookin for some advice on how to spend my money. Since i already bought my dv, i was thinkin maybe chip and exhaust (gotta save up a little more), or chip and race spring/shock combo (same deal, gotta save up maybe a couple hundred more). Any advice? Im gonna have to stay away from any BT kits in the price range, my dad doesnt want me to do that, and i sorta agree for now. ive only had the car for a couple months. looking for most cost effective performance mods, not so much cosmetics yet. any input is appreciated.

Chip (either giac or apr) and the H&R/Bilstein sport combo from AWE.

Ill be going APR, a dealer is about 10 mins or so from my house. You think the race springs will be the way to go? sport might not do it for me.

Really? Cuz im non-sport right now so sport would bring me down to audi's sport ride height pretty much. I think that i'll go race to get a better effect, and if i get wheels down the road and rubbing is an issue, 280 or so isnt that much to throw down for another set of springs.

cool man thanks for the input. its slow right now, but anyone else have any input, other suggestions? once i get the okay from pops (already got the ok for chip), i think suspension is what i'll do unless a better option is suggested.

If you are looking for max performance for min price i would go with what 18T suggested. You will be shocked at the reading you get from your butt dyno and you will really enjoy being able to plunge in and out of turns using your new found WHP controlled by a nice tight performance suspention. Sounds like you have just about the right amount of money for the job. If you have alittle left over you should look into a cold air intake. It will pack on another 10 horses at the wheels. have fun.
