Just make sure if you do the dealer option, you don't tell them you're trading in until the last second. The last thing you want is to let them know you want to trade in your own car.

i kinda decided that w/o it being less than 50,000mi its prolly not worth the cash im losing unless i can get a s4. Not sure thou. I mean say i get a K04 in it and j31 file audiboy is talking about exactly how fast would teh car be? I mean it better be fast than a stock s4. Otherwise i mena for 3k more i can have a s4 an dthen with a chip it would be great,

If you run j31 of course your going to be faster than a stock s4. Stock b5 s4s run about 14.1 with a pro driver, normals s4 drivers run like 14.5s stock. Ive seen j31 files making over 270hp, and over 350ftpd. You will have more torque then a chipped s4, on 93oct.They make around 320tq chipped. Pc-16/j31 files from giac both can run low 5s to 60, and high 13s in the 1/4.

so i could do just a K04 turbo uprgade an dtehn teh j31 files and get 0-60 in liek 5.3? S4 stock is like 5.5. I dont get how it can be that close and such a difference for teh s4. BUt with the s4 after a while i woudl evetually chip, exhasut, and ss.

Apg, can u realize something for me, please? You will be lucky to get a 6.0 to 6.3 in a stock s4. Belive me, the drivers that get those times are the behind the wheel everyday, beating on cars, and can outdrive everyone on the forums. When ur making 350ftpd,and its all down low with a ko4,a normal person can achieve low 5s with a good clutch.

i know but i am also going to racing school so hopefully i will become a good driver. And since its hard to determine one car to another w/o only using pro drivers what could a K04 with j31 files run? That black one is looking good to me.

yea i know. I cant sleep cause of this. I know if i go and drive a 1.8T im gonna hate it cause its slower than my car so i wnat to drive one iwth a k04 in it. Is there anything wrong with buying a 1.8T with liek 110,000 mi on it and do this kind of work to it? That way right when i get it i can do eberything to it. Turbo back exhaust and K04 for starters.

Well i bought mine with 103k on it, and started modding it. A chip kept me happy for about 2 weeks, then saved for a ko4. But then fried the motor(coolant hose flew off),and had to get a new one. So im not sure how it would hold up.

so oen with 120k would be bad prolly not worth the trouble. So hwat exaclty are the problesm ppl are having with the s4? Some stuff i can fix and some i cant. If i still work at a automotive place i would have some access to lifts and mechanics to help me out.
