Umm, no it wont add 10HP.

The ad doesn't claim it will. The ad says "up to 10 HP", which means anywhere from 0 to 10. Could be 1 HP, could be 5 hP, could be "up to 10 HP".

You do get some reclaimed power, however, when the electric fan is engaged, it pulls electricity, which means your alternator has to generate it, which requires HP from the engine.

they sell the exact same fans on ebay for a 1/4 of the price. I've used them and they work great, I have full confidence in the guys selling them and would trust his fans anyday. I wouldn't pay 199 for it. If you're able to fabricate a couple brackets it's simple and saves yourself $125.

Why would i have to make my own brackets, it says brackets included. But what confuses me, how do i know these brackets will fit my car, or even the fan itself. Is it all the same for every car or something??

it's probably not going to fit, which is why he said you'll have to fabricate your own brackets...

jared, did you have an electric fan on your 12V?

i did that to my jeep and noticed a power increase, but the only time ur clutch fan robs power is when its enguaged, so when ur car is hot it will engauge or when ur ac is on it will enguage. so this electric fan just allows ur car to run stronger in those circumstances. i also wonder if the electric fan will blow as much air as the clutch fan??
