RE: what do you launch your car at?
unless you have a fully upgraded performance tranny/clutch system, dumping your clutch or lauching from really high rpms is gonna murder you.
i remember tomritt saying a while back that hes had a few 7000rpm lauches on his new clutch, but hes got some serious **** goin' on down there.

im thinking rev until about 2500 rpm and just let it slip out real quickly, becuase thats about right before the turbo spools up hard and i think it would be the best.

ya i know, because ive seen people roast their clutch, i would never do that to mine. ive only launched the car once and that was at 3 thousand rpm's and it spun the tires.

Spun the tires? Ahh FrontTrak then... Well going too high wont matter too much since you will spin your tires easily.
Try to get to a point where you dont all out spin your tires, or bog your engine.
TomRitt has Quattro so its a whole different story.
Though launching at 7100 RPMS (about 1k over redline) may work for the crazy bastard Tom , I would not reccomend it.
You wont have to worry about your clutch as much as your tires.
FrontTrak = Tire Eater
Quattro = Clutch Eater

Yea I have had some 7000rpm launches but i just got a little wheelspin the the motor bogged. i found I can take off much faster by revving to about 5-6k and slipping the clutch for a split second

7000rpms is a little overkill.
