Someones selling a FWD 03 1.8T with 110k for 7 grand, and its in pretty good shape. If it was a quattro I'd jump on it without hesitation but I'm undecided with the FWD. Buy it or keep looking?

Its so cheap because it is not quattro.

Keep looking, quattro is to an audi like icing is to cake. You can still eat it, but it just doesn't taste the same.
