Default What do you think of this A4?

http://ryanfell.googlepages.com/audia4

I'm looking to buy an A4 and test drove this one the past weekend. It's in pretty good shape, seems to run well, but has a few minor things. The guy selling it is a nice guy and he told me that he had recently gotten into a few accidents all replaced with genuine Audi parts by certified mechs. That sort of concerned me, but the car didn't seem to drive any differently. Also, there is a small dent on the front right quarter panel and a little key-ing was done on the rear left quarter panel next to the trunk lid. He said he has always used full synthetic in the engine every 5k mi and has never had any problems with the car. I offered him $10,500 for it and wanted to have your guys' opnions... Feel free to ask any other questions about the car, I'm sure I may have omitted something important.

Thanks for the help!

Well, it looks like a very nice car. Sounds well taken care of, and has the TB done, a huge plus. The guy obviously knows what he is doing when it comes to simpler mods. Carfax is, and if everything works out, make it happen.

I guess I'm trying to hold out a little longer just to make sure this isn't an impulse buy. Perhaps I should just buy myself something more practical since I'm only a college kid. I just got an internship so I figured I might buy a new ride with the extra money since I don't have one at this time, but after seeing what real estate prices are like in San Jose, I might just start saving for a house!

Also, thanks for the replies!

Smart thinking. Think in the future tense when it comes down to purchasing this car. Can you REALLY afford it in college? If you can, and know you want to...by all means go for it!

Sounds nice, Whatever you do, make sure you have it checked by an independent mechanic who specializes in VW/Audi.

either way, plan on spending a grand in the first year and have the money in the bank.
