i ran my shadetree software the other day which is very similar to vag com and it pulled this error. A Camshaft position (bank 1) : timing over-advanced or syetem performance [sporadic]

does anybody know what this means, this is the second time this has happened.

is that bad? or is it just something that happens from time to time due to the chip and upgrades?

 

If its not hindering performance don't worry about it. I have never seen that fault code on a stock engine, probably a fault code from aggressive tuning.

 

that's kinda what I figured. the weather here is starting to get colder so I need to put different plugs in soon too. I figured the timing is being affected by the extreme climates we have here. it goes from 50 degrees in the morning to 90 degrees in the afternoon
