I just tried mine and got it to work just fine. I tried the two options in the previous post but they both sucked. There was way too much bass and no way I could drive around like that all day. I get a much better result using the normal EQ functions on the front of the radio. Anyone else have any good combos to use? I'm all for making it sound better but the previous suggestions were terrible.

I have the bose symphony in my 2000 A4 I didn't find a perfect setting yet but would 5 REAR LOW BASS only control my sub inputs? I have tapped off my bose speakers with a line level converter feeding another amp feeding two 12' sub I added to the system.I don't want to blow the other rears with to much bass. It seems like I'm getting a little mid range thru the subs not much and I know its not realy a clean signal but it does the trick.I want to just go to 1 10' or 12' for weight and I don't need to shake apart my quiet riding Audi.

I really don't think it can get any better than just using the manual buttons on the front of the head unit. If I want it any better, I'll buy an aftermarket stereo.

Dont 98-99 have concert radio and 99.5+ have symphony radios? It might only be a 99.5-01 option for symphony radios.
I have a 99.5 and I have the concert... My stereo can sound like *** sometimes!! [:@]

Your supposed to set the manual buttons to the middle position when you use the hidden EQ right? I wouldn't think your supposed to set them to zero?

Yes, it gets much better and in my case eliminated the need to get an aftermarket radio.

same, my 99.5 has the concert, the one with the button in the middle. it's the best stock stereo I've ever heard, but I wish the cd player wasn't in the trunk![:@]

I don;t think my 02' has it either. It is a Bose Symphony system but nothing comes up when I follow the instructions. Oh well. No biggie
Nothing happens in mine either, I get information displayed on the radio when I use the same procedure for buttons other than 5 so I know I'm doing it right. FYI, I have the Symphony II and my car was made May 02. Anyway, I like my sound as is through the regular stereo settings; this isn't a major loss.

Well, you must have the magic combo because all the ones I used sounded like I was driving a 77 Buick and all I cared about was bass.
