Hey guys I have an 01 2.8. I have 103,500 on the car and for a while now have noticed a rough sound during idle. Does it need a tuneup? I tok to my local mechanic and he said it sounds fine but to me it sounds very diffrent.

 

Youre going to have to be a little more descriptive than "rough sound". Is it aclicking/tapping noise? Does it vary with engine rpm?Is it constant? Newer cars with electronic fuel injection and distributorless ignitiondont get "tune ups"..

 

But the spark plugs still need to be changed every 30K miles as does the air filter
