No you want a cat back exhaust system, not just a muffler

Well I could see buying just a muffler costing a lot more than you bargained for, after getting it fitted and installed... Plus, our cars have 2 mufflers, so you'd only be changing one of them -- and you'd still have the fugly stock tips.

Plus, our cars dont have 'headers', though we have upgraded manifolds (which some might want to argue is the same thing)... anyways, very few people change the mani's anyways (and nobody does, without going big-turbo).

What we DO however, is go turbo back (cat, downpipe, midpipe w/ mid muffler & the final muffler w/tips).

You can snag them used for cheap sometimes, well under 500. (and when they're stainless, used isnt a terrible thing). Also, when you buy a turbo-back setup... install is free, because its a 1~ hour DIY.

which of the two mufflers would it take the place of ? the first or 2nd ? i was told the 1st one is basically a muffler with no resistance and the 2nd one does the job . so i'm going to guess the 2nd one would be teh one i'd be replacing

Will the Borla cat back from AWE tuning fit 2.8 30V? It's listed under the 1.8 list, but would it work with a 2.8 fit wise? I know it wouldn't quite sound the same, but it would still sound better than stock!
