What kind of maintnence am I looking at if I were to get a B5 1.8t? Besides changing the oil. I am looking at getting one really soon but my dad talked to the service dept at Neillo Audi and the guy told my dad that I will be looking at a lot.

control arms and tierod ends have been known to go too.

 

Yeah.. control arms, tierodends and any other part w/ the Audi rings stamped into it.

 

It also depends on how well the previous owner maintained the car. Hopefully he'll be able to provide maintenance records of all the work performed on the car when he sells it to you, this should give you an idea what work needs to be done. Good luck

The timing belt was done at 60k. Tie Rods replaced this week with S4 tierods. ABS module at the same time. It now has 80k miles. Upgraded turbo at the same time of the timing belt.

 

And this does what????

 

You know when things start going out? You replaced them. He did just this.

 

NO i mean the S4 tierods

Do you guys really think its any kind of performance upgrade

I replaced my brake light bulbs w/ S4 bulbs, wow my 0 to 60 time went down by 4 seconds.
