Default What is this plug? (brakes)

I have the solid abs and blinking brake light but no pad light and I found this plug on both sides just sitting there unplugged. What is it? I don't want to rebuild my abs unit if this is the cause.

well there are only 2 sensors that are in thatarea. wheel speed sensor and brake wear sensor. the speed sensor should be on the 10 o'clock of the spindle/hub.

Speed sensor is hooked up. If this is for the pads then I wonder why I have now brake pad light on. Could it cause my abs lights to light up?

when i put on new pads, the pads came with different connects than the ones on the car. i forgot which ones but one was round and the other was square. so wut i did was i plugged in the old pads and cut the wires that connect to the old pads. then i just spliced them together and that should solve ur problem. when i had my pad connectors disconnected, i had the same lights and the abs was kicking in way too early.

Where would the pad plug go on the pad? I don't see anywhere for it to plug in. I'm guessing the previous owner had the brakes done with non Audi pads.

the pad itself is supposed to have a wire embedded into it. if ur old pads or new pads neither have that, then just get sumthing to wire those 2 pins together

Last guy to change the brakes used cheaper pads for a similar model w/o abs if there were no wires and connector hanging off the inside brake pad.

Sweet, new pads are cheaper than an abs module but I'm going to try to jump those wires as the pads are new.
