hay guys, this is my first post on this site and i was wondering what i should do first to my 98 a4 1.8t quattro. I think i want to chip it first but i dont know if that is a good first mod. do i need to upgrade intake and exhaust first? and if chipping it is a good idea which brand should i go with and where do i go to get it?

Best bang for the buck i got mine Sunday and love it. I'll post a write up for it prob tonight. Then upgrade your Diverter valve or you'll get the spike with no hold. Gap your spark plugs down to like .028 and ur good. Get a boost gauge and you'll be takin on unmodded/lightly modded WRXs in no time.

i know i know, schoolwork got in the way and then my profec b arrived this morning so thats all i've been thinkin about[8D] i'm running to Lowes in a minute to get that soldering iron and some new tubing, so i'll update it tonite

 

im havin problems with my low end...feels like turbo lag on my 98 1.8T..i was wonderin if a forge 007 DV will do theo get some more power?

 

only if you stock dv is leaking. your car will have turob lag because well its turbo'ed. i would do a boost leak test to see if your loosing some of your boost causing more lag
