i have 17x8.5.

in general i think 18's look the best, but i think they would be a bit too sluggish on my 2.8 considering the higher gearing.

The gearing wouldn't be higher... you keep the overall diameter the same... wheel size doesn't matter, tire diameter does... so as the wheel gets bigger... the tires sidewall gets smaller... but you maintain about a 25" overall diameter.

You might however notice the weight... as some 19's are like 30 lbs.

that's what i meant to say, the weight would be way more noticeable from a start because of the higher gear ratio of the 2.8 cars.

I have 18s, but i got light ones, They are like 25 i believe and i think stockies are 28 lns if i recall. Just dont by chromies and ull be fine for weight. Stay less than 30 if u can and ull be good.
