I have the ugly 4 spoke on my 1997 a4 quattro, I called around and apparenlty they say I can only use the same year steering wheel, is this BS?

Tell me what year steering wheels I can use on my car to go to 3 spoke, if you know this to be fact...

Im 99% sure you can swap to a sport/3 spke wheel.I have seen people do it with the 98+ 4 spoke steering wheel, but not the 96-97 4 spoke steering wheel. I dont know what would be different. I think it was even an option because Ive seen some 12V's with the sport wheel.. Hmm.

 

its a direct swap as long as you get the 3 spoke air bag as well, i did it on mine and it looks 100 time better...
