While i was changing a vacuum line i noticed that there were two open holes going into my transmission and it looks like there should be a plate or some plugs or something. Can anyone help?

Don't know about the holes, but you should be using updated OEM filters... larger capacity. Fear the sludge, dude!

yeah i know i have the updated larger filter from audi but im waiting for my oil to come in. i also haven't had the car that long and just recently read about the larger filter

Audi dealer, or online. There are some goodbulk buys online atebay and www.ecstuning.comand www.getcoolparts.com (not sure if they are still a sponsor?)
Either Meyle or Mann are the ones to get.

sludging isn't a problem with Mobil 1 full synthetic and regular changes ( including the oil filter of course ) its that cheap nasty petrol based stuff that causes sludging because it evaporates and the oil gets thicker,

thats why synthetic is best
