So i got some pics of my torque converter.. after pulling my tranny. What would cause this to crack like it did?

Rear Main seal.. on engine.. Does this look normal? There is a crease in it.

Torque Converter is cracked .. :[ so i have to get a new one..

Damn. What were the symtoms of that? Not sure what could cause it other than stress and heat. Do neutral drops much?

Yea i though that. I took it to VW like 3 months ago for a small leak. They put a rear main seal on the engine and a front main seal on my tranny (2001 a4 1.8t quattro tiptronic) and said it was fixed, not a day later it oozed out fluid .. took it back and they kept tryin to fix it and now it came to this. Taking it to a tranny specialist. The car only has say.. 130k on it. It was leaking alot of fluid and i filled it up a couple times to get it to the shop. Is this VW's service fault since they should have seen that. It wrecked my tranny.. and i spent 1k in repair money to have this fault appear. I know it dont happen overnight.. the crack is on bothsides.. and wont let any fluid hold.

Never. I do have k04 and tuning.. I doubt it would have that kind of effect on it tho

symptoms were leaking large amount of fluid daily.. and slippage likea **** . Gear clunk etc. It would also slip out of gear in a turn..

You have to abuse the car very badly to make that happen. Are you the only owner of your car? I'm not goin to make any assumptions like others..........but I wish ya luck man.
