i got a greddy III. No problems with it just the occasional trying to restart the car while the timer is still counting down and you hear the horrible noise of starter vs flywheel. other than that lil forgetfulness every now and then i love the thing.

Well considering theres a oil and a coolant line going to the top of the turbo and out the bottom, id say both? Lol ok both, you can see it if you just open the hood, two lines to the top of the turbo, and i took out my ko3 for the ko4 so it is coolant and oil. Why as a forum do we not no this? lol

I was thinking of a turbo timer becasue they can be used for security i believe, that would be nice since im going to college.

they are water-cooled, the oil is just for lubrication of the shaft, and it bonuses as a little bit of cooling...

local tech told me theres no reason for a turbo timer on a watercooled turbo. its just a waste of money...

i mean if u wanna walk aweay with ur car running and here kids go "oh man, hes got a turbo timer" then go for it. ha.

kinda like a blow-off valve... not neccisary... but makes ur turbo car look/sound like a bad ***.

That's what I thought about coolant-cooled turbos. The reason I am considering on is that I do ALOT of city driving; and here in Tampa it's always stop-go-stop-go, which imo is hard on the turbo. So I just wanted to help it out a lil bit.

they are coolant cooled and oil cooled as said so timer not required saying that its how you drive it ( track or road abuse ) though not required,

they look good though and fill spaces

apexi and blitz are both reputable and function well, however, all you have to do is sit in your car at idle for 45 seconds and your turbos will be fine. really no need for a turbo timer at all.
