I think my actions are obvious "blank not block" if you take the sensor out it leaves a hole so you have to blank it

 

can you give another term for "blank"? cuz i and i dont know if others know what that means. You mean blank as in "nothing"?? Im soooo cornfused.

 

Avant80@2.6 means that you have to plug the O2 sensor holes.

 

uh - no not obvious. Chill. Never heard of blanking the cat. I guess it means running it without sensors? ?

 

Got a 98 2.8 on the highway I was getting close to 395 per tank, city driving I'd be lucky if I got 250. After reading some reviews I tried a can of BG 44K and got about 25 extra miles, but that stuff is hard to find and too expensive plus shipping costs since you can only get it from their website. I'm gonna try what jestnomen suggested and see if I get better results.

I was getting terrible gas mileage until I had the CAT and mass air flow sensor replaced. It was like night and day. My mileage is way better now.

 

So should I consider 31mpg highway fairly good for my 99 1.8T? I'm getting over 400 miles to a tank now and i don't think my O2s have ever been changed....
