Wheel Bearing
Hey all,
I'm taking my A4 Quattro in to the shop tomorrow for a wheel bearing. While I can do a little swerving back and forth to tell if its the right or left, anyone have any advice to tell if the front right or back right? I tried braking and not braking to hear the differance and I can't hear one. Can they check something at the shop tomorrow to see without billing me a bunch of money? What about taking the car up and trying to wiggle the wheel? It only has 49K on it (2001), is it common to throw a bearing out like this? Any ideas would be appreciated.

my rears need to be changed. i have an 01 also with 55k. audi wheel bearings blow; prone to early faliure.
someday when I'm rich and famous I can buy new cars, so I know exactly thier history. now, I don't know if that car has been abused or babied.... It would be a great piece of mind to know all the history of a car.
