Wheel bearing question
Hey everyone and thanks in advance for reading this.
I'm curious about the life span of the wheel bearings. I've heard anything from 70k to 140k, so I'm not sure about this. Also what are the "symptoms" of bad wheel bearings?
Any comments are more than apreciated!!

You will usually hear a like growl / wurhing (i dont even know if thats a word but it sounds like what it would be ) noise kind of that gets worse and worse as the bearing gets closer and closer to death, lol the noise is hard to explain but you would notice it and know what i mean if you heard it
My right rear wheel bearings went bad after 54,000 Miles and it failed on me again at 95,000 Miles.
My left rear wheel bearings first went bad at 65,000 Miles and then again at 114,000 miles.
It seems that for Audi A4 Quattros' these are common and known issues. Hopefully, Audi engineers in Germany are looking to fix this problem. I have had many other car brands and never had this many bearing problems.
Each time, the repair bill will set you back by $250 to $350 per incident. $80 or so for the part and 2 1/2 hours of tech labor.
Audi America should do recall campaign on this issue. Audi America, are you listening?
