So I'm about to pick up a 1998 A4Q 2.8 5sp. over the weekend. It already has new tires on the 16" sport wheels, but I'd love to have some different wheels. My friend has a 1997 VW Golf GTI VR6 with a spair set of wheels, 18" Excel w/new Continental tires. I checked wheelmax.com to see about compatibility between the two cars, and it doesn't look like those wheels will fit, based on their wheel selection software. Is there a chance these wheels will fit the car anyways? I'm new at this game of fitting tires/wheels on cars.
