Yeah, I guess that would kind of alter my opinion, too. It's just the awkward ride height that really gets to me, though. I was sort of thinking of going with race springs for a while (which would look great, IMO, but wouldn't be very useful when snow comes around). Coilovers would definitely be the way to go if I could afford them.

I am also thinking about the same thing for my 2001 A4, 1.8T Quattro, 15" especially to close that gap between tires and the curve. I went to a local European car mechanic and recommended to me to change shocks and spring bilsteim/PS2 tires, will cost about $4k. Do you think it is a reasonable price?
yes, $4k for wheels, shocks, springs, tires (OEM PS2) and labor... so I decided to order wheels and tire my own and have them order bilteim shocks and springs.. I think that may bring down the cost abit.
