Fo sho, jacking them ***** up in the winter is definately needed, no ice or small animals in my lower grille. I was just sitting here thinking that 17's would be better for auto x because you'd get a little lower center of gravity, not much but every little bit hleps I guess.

17's wont do anything for the height of your car... why? Because your adjusting the PROFILE of the tire when you switch wheel size... the goal of adjusting the profile is to keep the overall diameter (and hence ride height) of your wheel the same.
*Bows to master* I guess you're right, I'm thinking about this way too much. I'm shopping the hell out of wheels so anyone comes up with some 18 pound 17's that look sick, let me know!
