It's just something I've always wondered since I bought the car. The b5 is one of the few cars I've seen without a visible antenna. The new A4's have the small fin-shaped antenna on the roof and some Volkswagens have that big, ugly antenna smack dab on the top of the roof . Antenna's take away from a car's good looks in my opinion; thank God ours doesn't have one that's visible. But that leaves one question: where is it?

 

It's built into the rear window. It's what looks like the top three lines of the rear defroster, and the signal amplifyer is behind the panel between the rear window and triangular window on the drivers side.
