Whining sound from Steering wheel
dont quote me on this but i believe you should be able to just top it off.... and you shouldnt need to drain it but if you do you could probably use a turkey baster
I cant remember what type of fluid my manual says to use but it should be in yours if you have it. if you dont i can look it up in my manual. Best of luck to you

I don't have a photo. The PS fluid reservior is right behind the driver's side headlight next to the windshield washer fluid reservoir. On my car it has a green cap, with warnings about only using correct mineral fluid.
If you change it, there are complicated ways of draining the steering rack. I just use a turkey baster, suck out what fluid I can from the reservoir and replace with Pentosin 11S.
Take the car for a drive for a week and at your convenience, repeat the procedure. It wont get all of it, but you should get a whole shot of fresh fluid in there.
BTW, invest 15 dollars in your car by buying a Haynes manual for the A4, so that at least you can learn how to perform basic car maintenance. This is a much better investment in helping your car run better and faster, than the air intake you are obsessing about a few threads down.
If it just squeals when you turn the wheel fully to the right or left, this is normal and indicates that you are putting a lot of strain on the system. All cars (with ower steering do this). Stop turnig your wheel fully.

On the underside of the power steering reservoir there are two lines. I disconnected both of them and drained out all fluid that I could from the tank and the rubber lines. It requires no bleeding, you just fill the reservoir with fresh pentosin 11s

I just checked the level of the fluid and i didn't see any markings on it. Is it supposed to be all the way to the top. Mine has like three inches down until the fluid level.
