Not sure if they will even install a Bose system in your car.
And they def wont bulid you a new one.
IMO , get athe refund back from the Bose you didnt get , and put the money towards an aftermarket system
good luck

I have a legal background and I've been involved in dealership litigation. Unfortunately getting your money back is your only recourse at this point. You might be able to get some freebies from the dealership for your inconvenience, but what you're asking for is "specific performance", and that is a remedy that is only available when there are no "reasonable alternatives" available. Refunding you your money is, under the law, a "reasonable alternative". A court requiring a dealership to spend $XXXX to reconfigure a car is not a "reasonable alternative". Specific performance is virtually only used in real estate transactions where a buyer refuses to perform on a sales contract after the deposit slip is signed and delivered.

why would he hack an aftermarket system into the dash of his brand new vehicle?

I would be ringing the dealership and apologising for starters. You will get absolutely no-where speaking to people like that. I would say to them that you were just annoyed that you didn't get what you paid for and that your sorry for flying of the handle. Ask them what options you have. They will probably just say $650 or the installation. Bargain with them ask em' for some freebies extended warranty etc etc as well. Anyway, I never thought i'd say this....... I admire that dealer for ringing and if all dealers were like that the world would be a better place LOL
You def. want the Bose but im not sure if the bose has a different layout throughout the car and if thats true im not sure they would be able just to replace the speakers...they would have to replace the amp and everything
Bose is really not that great in my opinion you can definetly get something aftermarket that has much better sound anyways so take that $650 and put it towards something nice like JL audio
What others have said. Take the money.
If you really want the BOSE, work with the dealer for a trade-in with a new car. You will take a hit harder than $650, but if it really means that much to you...
Otherwise, had they not called, you would never have noticed... Bose is as much hype as it is anything. Had them in my two C5 Corvettes, not really all that special - the stock sound system in my B7 is much better than those... really!

And besides, Bose can't be all that hot...from what I hear from my Harmon Kardon/Infinity sales rep, Audi is going to be using HK systems in their new vehicles and not Bose.
I'd be pissed..........you just don't expect to pay $$$$ and not get what you contracted for. I don't think the point is if the BOSE system is good or bad...you asked for and they sold you a car with BOSE and they did not deliver it.
But I think the only recourse is getting compensated with cash or installation of the BOSE system. Why wouldn't they offer this? I guess the speaker configuration is different and it can not be retro fit into the existing non BOSE car?
If cash is the only compensation, then I would ask for more than just the $650 difference...you will now have to spend time and money to upgrade your car...installation, lose of use of the car and just the overall hassel of doing the research etc etc etc....
I would think the dealer would like to make some accomodation on this. Act professionally with them but let them know that you are not happy and expect more than the cash value.
