WHY WONT IT WORK?
So I got my car flashed about 3 months ago and from day 1 it worked but if I floored it you coudld hear air rushing under the hood and then BAM no flash. Turn the car off and re-start good to go. Floor it BAM! Anyway I was told it may be my DV cant hold the higher PSI well new DV and CAI later still doing it. Then Im told I have either a vac or boost leak. Well then they noticed to shattered hose to my secondary air pump so that might beit. Anyway I was throwing a code cuz of this. And my check engine light was on tey said it could be that also. By the way by they I meanEVOMS.Got exhasut and a highflow cat, I was going to anyway but I was hoping maybe it might fix it(wishfull thinking) Well I get the secondary airpump hose, relay and actuall pump all replaced at Audi.$900 Ouch. I also had them check for vac leaks or boost leaks. Nothing. My car definately sounds nicer now and when theflash is working it pulls hard and sounds like a pouncing tiger and no rushing air under the hoodbut floor it for a few seconds and it still BAMS into no flash mode. I have no check engine light, I am throwing no codes. Why wont my damn flash work. I went back to EVOMS and they say it must be something mechaincal so I have an appointment in 2 weeks for them to diagnose it. In the mean time I can race a civic beat him but I have to HOPE he doesnt catch me at a red light after I have lost my flash or I'll straight up get embarressed b/c she's a dog when the flash goes out. This is really getting old. I have a k04 waiting ina garage but Im not putting it on till this is fixed. 3 months of race and run, it needs to end. This problem is holding me back from making her a beast (for tip) I was so hoping that the $900 I spent at Audi would fix it. PLEASE SOMEBODY HELP!!!!!
What is this bam you speak of? No flash. I was reading the post them bam no understand what the **** is really happening here. What happens exactly? What rpm or speed? Any noises other than air rushing? Is it affected by cold at all (I understand it has been three months and same thing but was there even a slight bit of change at anytime)?
Bam is not a sound I hear, it just means BAM as in the flash is gone. You can tell when the flash dies becasue the sound of air rushing copmpletely dissapeared and the car accelerated hella slow.It no longer makes the loud air rushing sound but it will still get really slow. And no it has never changed. The rpm and speed can differ. If I floor it off the line and use TIP I can get to 3rd and about 60 before it dies. But I can baby it till almost third then get it into fourth and be doing 80. My speed or rpm has nothing to do with it. It depepnds on how long I am holding full boost. I can drive around all day like a normal person and not lose it but if I floor it and hold it I lose it. Cold, hot its all the same temp makes no difference either.
Check for codes. Lack of CEL doesn't mean lack of codes. I agree that it sounds like you are overboosting and the engine is going into LIMP mode.
I get that rarely and an N75 race valve hasn't helped.
Whcih chip/flash did you have done.

I have NO cells. I am running the GIAC pump program which is the 91 octane file. Its just nor very re-aassuring when both Audi and Audi performance specialists have no idea why it is happening.
Now would me ecu need time to reset. My car has been missing that hose to the secondary airpump for 3 months and when I was at Audi they said the relay was bad so the secondary airpump was never working. I got ll that replaced yesterday would my ecu need some time to get used to the changes? Or is this irrellevant?
On occasion when I punch it to the floor I will hit limp mode. The code is a "Negative pressure deviation" error and it common for a lot of people. Often points to a boost leak or a dying DV. Its is back to normal if I restart the car, but luckily I can bring up the VAG onscreen in the car and clear the code while driving.
Could also be the n75 valve like 8tee said. I doubt this is a flash problem - 99% that its a mechanical issue.
