Will I drive again?
The other day, I got into a car accident where the police....deemed it MY fault....gayness...which means I am also going to get a citation (which I will get deferred)....well my insurance is gettingmy car fixed next week I believe. After that they are going to drop me. I paid around 220 for my insurance a month before the accident...I am 17 and I don't know how much I am going to have to pay to be insured....Any thoughts? I talked to the insurance agency and they siad that it would be a lot lower if I was 18...should I just wait? Help me out...
P.s. I will have pictures on herewithin a few days...
Peace...

You could try a couple things, if it is even remotely possible fight the citation or maybe even get it changed to a different type of citation (like littering- expensive but wont go on your driving record). Then shop around for some no-name insurance. You might be surprised what you find. Sure the service will be crappy, and the coverage wont be very good, but at least you might be able to afford insurance.
How about some more details about the accident....

shop for incurrence now and then sign contract for a year (most of the companies check your record only before signing and renewing policy), your accident wont be posted into your record till case is closed.
Good idea.
Hurry up and get a new policy now, for a year, and you'll be good until next year when they check your record.
Also good advice to try and fight the citation, it may save you a lot of money down the road.

Insurance history is also worth money (reason not to wait) if you havn't had insurance for awhile they will charge you more - call around and get some quotes quick. but my insurance company runs checks on my record every couple of months. so this might not be a long term fix.
Yes, get the policy now (BTW, that is actually insurance fraud...jail time, but they wont find out for a year anyway so live it up). Sorry to sound like a dick but it is the truth and I hope you make a good decision and face what you did and accept the consequences for your actions. No I am not an insurance agent or work in the auto field.
I doubt its fraud. Its borderline, but not really. He doesnt have any control over what is shown on the record, if there are no accidents on the record or tickets, how is this fraud?
The only way it would be fraud is if he signs something stating that he has had no accidents ever, and then it shows up later.
Fraud is when you wreck your car, and have your buddies shop quote 3000 to fix it, then you pay him 1000 to do the work. Thats fraud.

yea, i dont think its fraud
if you go with another company, most likely they will stick you on a high risk policy
i have a bristol insurance policy (which is concidered a high risk policy company)
