Will Rims make my car.....
I'm just curious about rims, if I go with 18's instead of the stock 17's I currently have on my car will it make my car slower? And if so by how much, cause I would love the look of 18's but not if its gonna **** up gas mileage, speed or just screw with my mileage in general.
Thanks in advance,
Amze

Ideally you want to keep the Outter Diameter the same as your current setup in order to keep the speedo on key. being slightly larger will give you more high end, but i don't think it will be noticeable unless you make a big jump in size. check this out -----> http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html
i upgraded from stock 15's to 18s, you gain some then loose some, the rims i got were actually lighter then my stock rims, it also had kuhmo tires which stick to the road really nice, only thing is that the bumps are more noticable, other wise have no complaint, i think that could be fixed with a more expensive tire but it doesnt bother me. if you got the cash go for it but you are gonna need suspension too because your car will look like a 4wheeler
