i have a feeling they wont. they came off a 2001 1.8t Q TIP. i have a 98 2.8 Q 5-SPD

They'll fit, but they won't work well. 2.8 V6 is mucho heavier (100lbs) than the 1.8t, and the spring rates reflect that.

The shocks should work, you'll just need application-specific springs.
