my tint is 35% and i live in MN and the law is pretty much no tint on anything but i havent had any problems here so i cant see why you would if you went a little dark down there.

yea in washington i believe it is 35% and none allowed on front and im at 10% and i have never had any issues. IMHO 10% is a real good look because its not pitch black but it is tough to see in. really depends on the color of your car too though

Well it turns out the guy doesn't have 20%, so I ended up going with 15%. I'm getting it back later today, so fingers crossed till then *

Well I love it. 15% was a great choice, it looks really dark from the outside, but it isn't nearly as dark on the inside as I would have thought, so it really doesn't make it difficult for me to see or anything. The shop says that Llumar won't guarantee it since it is not legal in MS, but I"m in the military, so I move a lot, there may be a way around that. However the shop says that if I have any issues with it while I'm here (only a year anyways), to bring it in and they'll deal with it. Good group.

Unfortunately, there are a number of 1/2in cuts, like from a razor on parts of the tint, affecting all the windows except the back one. I talked to the shop and we agreed something must have hit the roll, because they cuts are all identical. How they missed this during install, I don't know... either way it is going back tomorrow to be redone, no cost to me of course, so it's more of an inconvenience than a real problem.

Pics soon to follow once it's done right (not that you can hardly notice now, but I paid for it, I want it done right and looking good!). I just can't understand why I didn't do this earlier, it makes the car look completely different, and much much better. Next on to wheels and lowering it... someday...

I live in Miami and the tint citation is $89.50...it is pretty rare for a cop to give you a ticket for tints,he would have to be a real d*** which the one I got was so go figure.

BTW,here is a pic of the tints that I have on my car.

I just got my windows tinted on Sat in Fl... I am not sure what the legal law is down here, but I got 15% all around. (picture in album) On my 4-runner, I had the 15% and never got pulled over. You can prob get away with 30% or 25% all around depending on what you feel safe with. Honestly, since your Audi is black, I think that black would look really sharp on it if you were able to go with a lighter tint. However, if you want to play it safe, I would go with the charcoal color which will look good as well!

Also, keep in mind that water bumps are normal for up to about 3 days so keep your car in the sun as much as possible to dry the tint... Take some pictures for us when it is done! Good luck and enjoy...

20% is see through, go 20% all around, its worth the look. Eff going legal, 35% is *****... but if your gonna do it make sure you make it even with the back 2 windows or it looks bad.

Thats my opinion

Ahh just read you went 15%, thats gonna be awesome. Just be aware in advance he probably won't give you a receipt unless he has some *****. But most tint shops will help you out if it bubbles up or peels... Great choice man, glad your happy with it.

20% all the way... Just make sure for the price there aren't going to be any line in the work that he does... Some places use the cheap tint film and you can see the lines inbetween the film pieces
