Window Tint Question
Your right.. I paid with cash... The guy was really cool about it. He actually recommended limosine (sp) tint, but I was too scared of having to replace it. I thought that 15% was perfect and it ran me about $150.
wierd that all your guys's tints cost so much...I mean I checked A LOT of prices and the going rate is like $60-90 bucks for a professional job down here...I guess Tints are cheaper in Miami since 99% of people get them
**** around here a GOOD tint job with sunstrip is 230 bucks which comes with a great lifetime guarantee. I just got mine done this morning, I cracked and got 20 percent all around. Legal here is 35 but its not worth it. I love it cuz its gettin hot out here and my leather seats dont get NEARLY as bad as they used to.
Hm, guess the thread is living on without me! heh, yeah, I ended up going with 15%. Looked great and they did a good job, but when I first got it back there was a number of small 1/2in cuts in a few places, identical on all the windows, like they had issues with the install or something. Anyways, I took it back the next day and they did it over again, no charge to me, looks great this time. As far as the legality issue, the guy said that I couldn't file with the company for the warranty unless I was in a state that allowed it (like AZ or something he said), but that as long as I was in the area, he would work with me, like he did with the free re-install. I got a receipt with the warranty card, so I guess he doesn't much care. So I'm happy.
The car is actually in the shop right now, it got hit in a parking lot before I moved down south, and I'm just now getting it repaired... $500 dollars for something that I had NO part in... I already park out in BFE under lights to keep this sort of thing to a minimum, lol.
While the car is in the shop, and since it is the rear bumper they are replacing, they are debadging it for me, so I don't have to deal with it myself (no garage/facilities/anything to make diy repairs easier). Also getting the lowers painted while they have the paint code and are dealing with the work. Should have it back by the end of the week, and after a good wash I'll have pictures for all to enjoy! Thanks again for the input guys, reading all the stuff on this forum so far has been more helpful than I could have imagined.

Finally got it back from the shop. De-baged and fixed, got the lowers painted and the tint is looking good. The first picture is from before I got the lowers painted. Let me know what you guys think!
