Replacing the wipers, pull off the wiper and the arm slips. Windshield is now cracked, what luck. Anywho, anyone replaced a windshield? If so, how much did it cost?

 

I paid 250 to get it replaced...

 

Think I saw a thread here or AZ where a few people said the dealership actually wasn't that bad on a windshield replacement. Might want to check, I think the thread said in the neighborhood of 250 as well.

 

The dealership here doesn't replace windshields but I took it to the guy who does the windshields for that dealership. It was the cheapest place I could find around here by atleast 75 bucks.

 

These prices include the glass? Seems low but hey, I wouldn't complain. I'm gonna see if it can be repaired first. That's $60 which would be great. But the crack is about 8-10 inches. Guess I'll find out next week when I bring it in.

This headache is on top of a flex pipe that I need along with 80,000 mile maint.[:'(]

I am about 99% sure you are going to need a new windshield...they told me that if its more than 6 in.(size of a dollar bill) they they can't repair it....yeah 250 including glass labor and they came to my house to do it.

 

did the same thing to mine but i had insurance replace it....just say that a rock hit it when it was raining and you were driving on the highway

 

Check with your insurance company; see what they say. Claim it as a rock chip. You may be able to pay a cheap deductible and have the glass replaced for much less.

 

some insurance companies (like mine) don't have windshield replacement coverage...I completely agree with the other guys..check with your insurance company first. MOST will replace it for free....
