winter tyres for 2.5TDi Quattro
Hi
I am thinking of getting a set of winter tyres for my new (secondhand) A4 Quattro (2.5 TDi 180bhp 2001). The tyres on the original registration documents are either 205/55/R16 91V or 215/55/R16 93W. So I am wondering if I am required to get V rated tyres for my winter tyres. The reason I ask is that I can get 205/55/R16 H rated tyres for much cheaper than the V or W.
Second question. The reason I am getting winter tyres is mostly for snowboarding at the weekends. Is it worth paying extra for a set of Nokias WR as opposed to an Asia brand tyre which are 40Euro cheaper each (cf 205/55//16 on http://www.mytyres.co.uk/) considering it never snows where I live and I will only be seeing snow at the weekends and at that only rarely !!
I have never driven on winter tyres before so I'm totally clueless
Thanks in advance
