It might not sync with your garage door opener, but you have to look for the button on the side of the door opener and push that down. It should have a ready light on after you push it, you then go to your car, press and hold one of the buttons until it flashes really fast and it should be in sync. If you don't have an owners manual they should be like $6 at the dealer.

There is instructions in your owners manual! I belive that the sensor is in the right hand side of the car where the tow hook is and in the manual it states that you need to press and hold one of the buttons till the light goes solid and take an existing garage door opener and point it near where the sensor is and press and hold the button to open the garage! The system should now learn the romote controls operation and you are good to go!
